Seaman-Blanke Funeral Service
had their grand opening in Chelsea, Oklahoma on July 10, 1976.

The original owners of the establishment are Bill & Judy Blanke-Seaman, and Christy "Chris" and Billye Overfelt-Blanke. Both families are from the Chelsea and Alluwe area.

Bill & Judy are now the owners of the business.
 
A year after they opened, they purchased the Paul Merriott Funeral Home in Chelsea.
  
The Overfelt-Blanke family lived in Alluwe for many years before moving to Chelsea.

Chris Blanke was employed with Phillips & Milam Oil Company until their closing, he then worked for Peabody Coal Company for many years until his retirement. Billye Overfelt-Blanke worked with the Nowata County welfare department for some time.

Judy attended & graduated from Alluwe High School.
Bill attended Chelsea Schools & graduated from Alluwe High School.                                                 
  
Judy Blanke-Seaman received her BS in Elementary Education and BA in Special Education from Northeastern State University. She has graduate hours in the area of  Special Education . She taught at Nowata, Big Cabin, and Chelsea, Oklahoma for many years.  She now dedicates her time to ROCMND Youth Services, her family, and assisting at the family funeral service.  
   
Bill Seaman Graduated from Claremore Junior College, now known as Rogers State University, as well as the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science . He is a Licensed Funeral Director, a Licensed Embalmer, as well as a Licensed Life Insurance Agent, and a Licensed Insurance Adjuster.

Bill is the son of  L. C. "Bill" and Nellie Polson Seaman. Bill and Nellie owned East Side Grocery in Chelsea for 28 years before retiring, they served the community in a caring and dedicated manner.

Both Bill and Judy are both active citizens in their community and strive to assist in the well-being of others. Bill has served on the Chelsea Gas Authority Board of Directors for over twelve years. He has also served on Grand Gateway Advisory Council on Aging.

Bill & Judy have two daughters, Christy and Victoria Seaman, both which are proud to be part of the Chelsea Alumni.                                                                    

Christy Seaman graduated from Rogers State University where she earned her degree in nursing and now serves as a Registered Nurse with the Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Christy is specialized in working with patients within the Trauma Emergency Center. 

Victoria Seaman obtained her Bachelors Degree in Mortuary Science, she is now taking advanced Medical Science Classes.

Victoria is a Licensed Funeral Director & Embalmer, as well as a Licensed Cosmetologist. She is proud to follow in her parent's footsteps and looks forward to serving her community.
